Wildwood Outfitters Blog and Fishing Report
On our local streams, caddis are the main hatch to look for over the next few weeks. Anglers might start seeing the odd sulphur or two, but it's still a bit early for that. Most of the action is going to be on nymphs, but look for rising trout during the big events and target them with dries. Trout are holding in all sorts of water right now, but watch the weather and keep tabs on stream gauges before heading out. Even a little bit of precipitation can swell your favorite trout stream enough to make for tough fishing and treacherous wading. The fishing is only going to get better over the next few weeks, and this is without a doubt one of the best times to be out on the water! Some hot flies from recent trips:
