While fish might be in the streams, the years steelhead season is still in its infancy. Trips north to the "tribs" might be a bit premature, but that doesn't mean these fish aren't constantly on the brain. With that in mind, we decided to share our top three go to flies for Pennsylvania and Ohio chrome!

Few truly wild places remain untouched or spoiled by the hands of humans and industry; places where it feels as though people don't belong, and those that choose to visit are mere guests in a harsh landscape. The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) emanates that, and much more, on the northerly fringe of the world.
There's nothing wrong with periodically keeping a few caught trout for dinner. In fact, there are some studies out there to suggest a slight culling of the trout herd can be beneficial in certain waterways. If instead you choose to release the trout you catch, as many anglers do, there are a few steps to follow to ensure that the #letemgoletemgrow plastered on Instagram is more than just a catchy tagline to accompany your fish pic!
When I first met my wife she told me how much she liked to archery hunt. Despite hunting all through my teen years and my dad running an archery shop in our hometown, the sport had never taken hold of me. Instead, my autumn weekends were spent chasing fish, which in turn led to a healthy obsession with fly fishing. Once our relationship progressed and we became engaged and moved in together, it was only natural that she learned how to fly fish, and I learned how to archery hunt.
