Recent Trip Report

Our trout trips are rolling right along and our guests are having a spectacular time out on the water these last few weeks!  Most of April was actually unseasonably dry and warm, which led to some strong early season hatches and very cooperative trout.  While water levels might have been more akin to late May or June, that's not a bad thing to have during April when other years are highlighted by constant rain and raging streams. 

Trout have been holding in a variety of water types, which has been a ton of fun to work with.  When fish are being caught in everything from skinny riffles to deep pools, it allows us to go through the full range of techniques and strategies on guide trips and our guests see some real benefit from that!  The last week or so has been a bit rainier, but aside from a day or two, the rain hasn't been so intense to blow the streams out.  In these situations we've been pivoting to small water and some of the wild fish that live there, which is special in its own right!
