Recent Trip Report

As the weather bounces around between spring, summer, and even winter, our trips have been putting a solid number of fish in the net on our local trout trips!  This is one of the best times to get out and enjoy fly fishing in our area, and the guests who have been out with us recently would undoubtedly agree.   Trout are holding in all sorts of water right now, and hatches of caddis and the odd sulphur are bringing fish to the surface with some regularity.

Rainfall is going to be increasingly important to monitor in the coming weeks.  Precipitation totals have a direct impact on stream levels, and a heavy rain the night before can lead to blown out conditions and frustrating fishing.  With that said, we could really use the extra moisture as trout waters have been running quite low and clear lately.  The rains of last weekend certainly helped, and a consistent rain amount each week will keep bug activity consistent and trout happily feeding!
