Wildwood Outfitters Blog and Fishing Report
Fall is one of the most enjoyable times to be out on our trout streams. The weather is cool and the scenery spectacular, which makes for a great trip when coupled with continued productive fishing. Trout can get a bit wiser at this time of year, but the browns are starting to exhibit their spawning colors and that's reason enough to head for the water and spend a day fly fishing! The heavy rains of the last week swelled the Lake Erie tributaries and brought some fresh fish in. Overall it's still pretty early in the season, and while there are fish to be caught we need shorter days and more rain to bring more of the run in. Those braving the crowds to try their luck should expect plenty of company anywhere they find fish. Remember to practice proper etiquette and be courteous to landowners and other anglers! Dates are filling up FAST for our peak season steelhead trips! Get in touch with us today to talk about your day on the water catching one of North America's greatest fighting fish!
