Now When We say "ALL" Gear Included...

Those familiar with our website might notice that in several different places you'll see the phrase "all gear included"  as it relates to our guide trips.  So what exactly does that mean?  At Wildwood Outfitters we are committed to making your day on the water with us seamless and relaxing.  That starts with providing all  the gear necessary for a successful fishing trip. 

The fly rod and reel (with line, of course) are probably the most recognizable of essentials.  Every guide trip is outfitted with top shelf rod/reel combos that will aid in the learning process for beginners and spoil experienced anglers.  Since cost is sometimes prohibitive to gain access to this type of gear, a guide trip is a great opportunity to fish with high-end rods and reels without spending a fortune! 

Next up are waders and boots.  Staying dry is a huge part to an enjoyable day, with the exception being those trout trips during summer when the cool water is a welcome reprieve from the heat.  We have a variety of sizes and styles to fit everyone who partakes in a guide trip.  Full disclosure:  this is why we ask what size shoe you wear during our pre-trip planning! 

Rods, reels, waders, and boots might be the big ticket gear items provided on a guide trip, but equally important are the flies!  Without them, we'd have a pretty tough time catching any fish.  Our guides have boxes upon boxes of flies for all situations, whether that be skinny water trout fishing or high water steelhead.  We know what flies will work, where to fish them, and they are all provided to you in the cost of the trip!  

Snacks, snacks, more snacks, a water, and finally some snacks...or a lunch!   Food is key to our day on the water.  Half-day trips provide snacks and drinks to those who might enjoy a nice morning of Nature Valley bars and trout fishing.  Our full-day trips feature a delicious lunch complete with sandwich, chips, fruit, and a cookie.  Spending a day on the water is hard work, so it's imperative we keep our energy levels up!

So that "all gear provided" claim really does mean everything you need for a fun day fishing!
