Wildwood Outfitters Blog and Fishing Report
At Wildwood Outfitters our goal is to make your day as carefree as possible for you. We do that by providing all of the gear necessary for a great day on the water, having a wide-ranging knowledge of Pennsylvania's best trout water, and leaning on 700 trips' worth of experience to ensure your day is a memory to hold onto forever! With that said, you still might want to know how to prepare in the weeks and days leading up to your trip. One of the most important things you can do is be sure your PA fishing license is up to date! Our licenses run from January 1 to December 31, and can be purchased online. The PA fishing license procedure can be a little confusing, so if you run into any issues please don't hesitate to reach out and let us guide you through the process! On top of your license you'll also need a trout/salmon stamp, and if we're fishing for steelhead, a Lake Erie permit is also required.
Lodging, and other general accommodations, is something else to consider prior to your trip. Whether we're fishing near Franklin, Central PA, or in Erie, it's sometimes easier to travel the night before and spend the night near our fishing location. If this is something you're interested in, we have special arrangements with several top-notch lodging amenities that can make your stay as comfortable as possible. To make it even easier, we can meet you the morning of your trip at your hotel or bed and breakfast! That way there's no trying to find remote locations without cell service early in the morning. Perhaps the thing to remember most is that we are here to assist you every step of the way! As you prepare for your guide trip, don't hesitate to reach out and ask any questions you might have. Our FAQ page is also a helpful guide that can provide many answers!
