Viewing rain as our friend, for a moment, leads us to explore what it does to trout streams. During this time of year, rain cools the water temperatures and provides much needed relief for the fish. They are able to move around throughout watersheds and feed on the influx of bugs that come out during rain events. Rain also staves off drought conditions that result in low water and stressed trout. This much rain in late May and early June will pay major dividends throughout the summer!
